Abstract <p>A multisensor system for monitoring beams from heavy-ion accelerators. The operating principle of the system is based on secondary electron emission resulting from the interaction of heavy ions with the material of the detector sensors. Using information about the distribution of signals from the sensors, a two-dimensional distribution of the <sup>40</sup>Ar<sup>8+</sup> ion beam particles with an energy of 53 MeV at a given point in space was obtained online.</p>
