摘要

Abstract

A mathematical model of the bronchial tree and an algorithm for its automatic segmentation in computed tomography images was developed. The model integrates the “Fundamental Model of Anatomy” ontology. Segmentation is based on the “Demons” deformable registration method. The proposed approach facilitates more accurate determination of the airway dose load, which is necessary to minimize the side effects of radiation therapy.
