Abstract <p>A planar Si/Cr/Ag/SiO<sub>2</sub>/Ag NPs structure was modified by femtosecond laser ablation with pulse energies in the range of 1.4 to 9.8 nJ. Raman and infrared reflectance spectra of malachite green and <i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa</i> bacteria were recorded on the original and modified regions of the substrate.</p>
