Abstract <p>A method for immobilizing DNA aptamers on the surface of a porous polyethylene terephthalate substrate and gold nanoparticles has been developed, preserving the functionality of the recognition elements. The possibility of assembling a ternary complex composed of aptamer-functionalized porous polymeric substrate, influenza A virus, and aptamer-functionalized gold nanoparticles is shown. These results can be used to create aptamer-based test strips.</p>
