Abstract <p>The authors study radiation from an electric discharge in I-40A industrial oil. The radiation consists of separate flashes corresponding to microdischarges that often occur within the gas phase formed in the area of the discharge. The emission spectrum consists of lines and bands corresponding to different components of the oil and allows the temperature of the plasma to be determined.</p>
