Heat-Transfer Coefficient to Pulsed Superheated Aqueous Solution of Boric Acid

Abstract
Heat transfer to a superheated aqueous solution of boric acid was investigated in temperature, pressure, and concentration ranges similar to transient operating modes of pressurized water reactors. Under conditions of pulsed isothermal action in the ranges of 350–600 K and 0.1–20 MPa, it was detected that the heat-transfer coefficient to the solution decreases with an increase in the content of boric acid in the solution in the range of 0–50 g/kg.
