Abstract <p>The authors propose a way of assessing the quality of the heterostructure of a high-power 200 mW laser diode based on measuring spectra of radiation intensity in the over-the-threshold mode of generation. The procedure is based on fixing and analyzing groups of generation modes related to spatial radiation channels. The spectra are measured at different pumping currents lower than the standard for short (no more than 30 min) time intervals.</p>
