Abstract

A procedure is considered for extracting the energy value of a virtual singlet proton–proton state from experimental data. A preliminary value of E_pp in the d + ¹H → p + p + n reaction at a deuteron energy of 15.3 MeV is obtained from a comparison of experimental data and simulation results.
