Optical Sensor Based on Defective Photonic Crystal for Non-Binary Multicomponent Mixtures
摘要
Abstract
We propose a new approach to the use of sensors based on 1D photonic crystals with defect to determine the concentrations of non-binary mixtures. This approach is based on the simultaneous use of several defect modes whose positions are sensitive to differences in the dispersion properties of the different components of the mixture. We also investigate different modes of operation of such a sensor to improve its accuracy, including working with defect modes in different photonic forbidden gaps. The results of this work will extend the applicability of sensors based on defective photonic crystals.
