Effect of Deformation Nanostructuring on Ion-Beam Erosion of Metals
摘要
Abstract
The effect the deformation nanostructuring of copper, nickel, and titanium on ion-induced morphology and sputtering upon high-fluence irradiation with 30-keV argon ions normal to the surface has been studied. The sputtering of a layer commensurate with the size of metal grains induces a homogeneous cone-shaped relief whose stationary erosion proceeds with considerable redepositing of atoms.
