Changes in the Spectrum of Auroral Kilometric Radiation as It Propagates in Inhomogeneous Space Plasma
摘要
Abstract
Characteristics are analyzed of the electrical component of auroral kilometric radiation (AKR), measured by the ERG satellite in the Earth’s inner magnetosphere and the WIND satellite in the solar wind. It is shown that the radiation spectrum changes when AKR propagates in plasma channels, and high frequencies are suppressed. Results are presented from calculations based on the model that confirm these measurements.
