Quantum Coherent States of a Microparticle in a Viscous Medium

Abstract
The motion of a microparticle in a medium with viscous resistance was analyzed using a canonical quantization. Localized wave packets of the type of coherent states were considered in detail. It was determined that the viscous resistance suppresses the quantum properties of the microparticle, which makes it possible to consider a viscous medium as a classical device.
