Threshold of the Amplitude of Vertical Vibrations Causing Faraday Ripples on the Charged Surface of a Viscous Liquid
摘要
Abstract
The effect a surface electric charge has on patterns of the formation of Faraday ripples on the horizontal surface of a viscous liquid is studied using an approximation of low-amplitude perturbations. Typical horizontal dimensions are established for the Faraday ripples affected most strongly by the change in the surface’s density and viscosity.
