Generating Radiation at the Third Harmonic in a High-Current Relativistic Ka-Band Gyrotron

Abstract
Theoretical and experimental studies are performed of the generation of radiation in the mode of frequency multiplication at the third harmonic in a high-current Ka-band gyrotron. Three-dimensional PIC modeling shows that the coefficient of nonlinear transformation in the W-band can reach values of 0.5%. Experimental data are presented on recording radiation in this range.
