摘要

Abstract

Seasonal variations in the amount of fluid in the subcutaneous lymphatic sinuses of the common frog (Rana temporaria) and differences in the dynamics of its mass in adult males and females from autumn to spring are shown. The hypothesis that enlarged lymphatic sinuses (one of the elements of the “nuptial attire” of R. temporaria) can be used by small frogs to gain competitive advantages in assortative pair selection during reproduction is tested.
