摘要
Abstract
Circinaria xiaowutaishanensis Q. Ren is reported here as new to science from China. C. xiaowutaishanensis is characterized by the turnup areolae margins, (6–)8-spored asci, short (7.5–10 μm) conidia and the presence of aspicilin. Phylogenetically, the new species is relative to Circinaria laxilobata, however, C. laxilobata has fan-like arranged prothallus, grows on volcanic rocks, and lacks lichen secondary substances. The new species was identified based on morphological and molecular data, and its detailed description and figure are provided.
