Two New Records of Ascomycota from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
摘要
Abstract
In this study, we introduce two new records of Ascomycota, viz., Otidea bomiensis and Xylaria curta from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. These specimens have been collected from district Abbottabad and district Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, respectively during the monsoon season of 2022. Molecular phylogenetic analysis of internal transcribe spacer (ITS) and morpho-anatomical approaches were used to identify the accurate position of both species. The results showed that the macro and micro morphological characters of the Pakistani collections of both species coincide with their respective type specimens. Fresh photographs in their habitat, microscopic features, and detailed descriptions are provided here.
