Gradient-Free Method for Determining Sessile Drop Parameters
摘要
Abstract
The article presents a new method for determining the surface tension and contact angle on the basis of an array of points of a digitized sessile drop profile. Its key feature is the complete avoidance of gradient-based methods at all stages of the computational process. A comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the method relative to the traditional approaches is performed. A software package has been developed that efficiently implements the entire set of algorithms. Using this package, computational experiments are performed on real liquids. The analysis of the results confirms the correctness and reliability of the ideas proposed in the work.
