Diffraction Method for Testing Welded Joints Made by Friction Stir Welding
摘要
Abstract
The structure of rotor blanks made from heat-resistant nickel alloys welded by the promising friction stir welding method has been analyzed. The most typical types of defects that may occur during this welding process and their predominant orientation are demonstrated. A diffraction method for detecting such defects is proposed. Its applicability is demo nstrated on a sample with both artificial and natural defects.
