Abstract <p>The problem of calibrating measuring devices with a linear scale is considered that is generalized for a general linear regression model. The proposed method for selecting calibration points from the measurement range and intervals for taking sensor readings at the calibration points is tested using a specific example, demonstrating the high quality of the proposed method and the accuracy of its results.</p>
