Technology of Morphometric Analysis of Vertebral Bodies in Patients with Osteoporosis Using Computed Tomography Images

Abstract
In this paper, we present a technology for morphometric analysis of vertebral bodies in patients with osteoporosis based on computed tomography data. An analysis of feature selection for objects in the images was conducted to identify the most suitable features for this type of object. The results of the morphometric analysis algorithm for vertebral bodies are presented to evaluate its accuracy. Conclusions were drawn regarding the separability of normal and pathological classes based on the set of features. Based on the results, a vertebrae classification algorithm was developed.
