Solving the Problem of Robotic Production of Timber of Various Sizes Using the Equipment of New Generation

The presented material is an attempt to show woodworkers the possibility of obtaining timber with improved performances, using fundamentally new machine tools controlled by artificial intelligence. The design of the saw unit of the presented machine contains the inventions that allow to increase the productivity of saw timber production (board, parquet, lamella) by 1.5–2.0 times; reduce the total power consumption by 4–5 times to 8.0 kW, compared to machines of similar functional purpose such as the R63-4B; increase the mobility of equipment with the weight of the machine itself up to 450 kg; improve the quality of the cut surface of material; fabricate lamella when replacing the saw unit; use short saw blades with teeth equipped with stellite-type carbide.
