Abstract <p>The intensive development of agricultural machine engineering leads to a continual increase in demand for information about the technical, performance, and operational features of designed machinery. To improve the operational efficiency and productivity of the engineering and technical services involved in creating and running these machines and to shorten the design, follow up, and testing periods, as well as improve these characteristics, it is necessary to create data retrieval systems of consumed data. These systems must be created as automated databases with a standard database control system with flexible formats for output documents covering a large range of indicators and properties of tested machines and accumulated information. The databases must be formed on logical structures. In other words, the data must be logically organized as a set of types of data records and relations among them. This article covers several studies conducted to create and develop a data retrieval system of this kind, that is, an automated database of mobile power utilities used in agribusiness.</p>
