摘要

Abstract—

In 2025, benthic communities and bottom sediments in the coastal area of Krasnodar Krai (Black Sea) were studied following the fuel oil spill. The studies do not allow us to conclude the benthos suppression in the coastal waters of Anapa under the influence of fuel oil. No correlation between benthos abundance and structure and petroleum hydrocarbon content in sediments was observed. To assess the impact of fuel oil on benthic ecosystems, it is necessary to continue monitoring communities in the affected and adjacent control areas and to conduct additional toxicological studies.
