Abstract <p>Climatic conditions are the main factors determining the distribution area of the tick <i>Ixodes ricinus</i>. Identifying these factors and their limiting values is one of the possible approaches to species range modeling. Using a grid search method, the favorable climatic conditions for the <i>I. ricinus</i> tick in Russia and neighboring countries, as determined from the published literature, are refined; maps of the species potential distribution area are constructed. Using this model mapping, the areas of potential <i>I. ricinus</i> invasion in the Far East and Central Asia, where the species has not yet been detected, are revealed.</p>
