Identification of Climatic Parameters Limiting the Distribution of the Tick Ixodes ricinus in Russia and Neighboring Countries
摘要
Abstract
Climatic conditions are the main factors determining the distribution area of the tick Ixodes ricinus. Identifying these factors and their limiting values is one of the possible approaches to species range modeling. Using a grid search method, the favorable climatic conditions for the I. ricinus tick in Russia and neighboring countries, as determined from the published literature, are refined; maps of the species potential distribution area are constructed. Using this model mapping, the areas of potential I. ricinus invasion in the Far East and Central Asia, where the species has not yet been detected, are revealed.
