Data on Modern Sedimentation Rates in the Western Aleutian Trench
摘要
Abstract
Rapid environmental changes caused by the anthropogenic factors are increasingly attracting attention of the researchers due to the global climate change. There is an urgent need to study the methods, scale, and potential of development and application of natural pollutants disposal in the sedimentation conditions. The radiometric analysis of the nonequilibrium 210Pb natural isotope made it possible to obtain a current sedimentation rate in the upper sedimentary layer of the Aleutian Trench located in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. A modern sedimentation rate obtained from CIC and CRS models was less than 1 mm/yr.
