Holocene Ice Wedges on the Western Coast of Baydaratskaya Bay: Isotopic (δ18O, δ2H) Indication of Local Thermokarst Processes
摘要
Abstract
The article examines the isotopic characteristics of Holocene ice wedges exposed in 2024 in abrasive thermocirques on the coast of Baydaratskaya Bay. It is shown that the isotopic parameters of the ice can indicate local thermokarst processes and the formation of secondary ice. The use of secondary ice as a paleotemperature archive is inappropriate, as it significantly reduces the reliability of climate reconstructions.
