Abstract— <p>The detailed map of the magnetic anomalies (ΔTa) was constructed for the first time for the equatorial section of the Ninetyeast Ridge by generalization of the magnetic data from five expeditions at the polygon near the site 216 DSDP. This map was analyzed and interpreted, new conclusions about the tectonic structure and evolution of this area were made, and boundaries of linear magnetic anomalies were outlined. It was found out for the first time that the spreading linear magnetic anomalies C31r and C32n.1n did not break off at the base of the Ninetyeast Ridge and continued from adjacent basins into its boundaries the ridge. A spreading velocity calculated from these anomalies for the axial part of the ridge was estimated at 45 mm/yr. A position of the N-S 90° E fracture in the Warton Basin was clarified, axes of the linear magnetic anomalies breaking and shifting along it.</p>
