Prospects for Increasing Oil Resources and Reserves in the Yenisei–Khatanga Regional Trough

The potential for discovery of large oil fields in the central part of the Yenisei–Khatanga regional trough was considered. Processing and integrated interpretation of geological, geophysical, and geochemical data provided the basis for the identification of four promising zones of oil accumulation (an area of 58 000 km²). For the multi-occurrence Paiyakha oil field, three more zones located at depths of 3.2–3.5 km were identified at the base of the clinoform complex. This made it possible to provide for the growth of localized recoverable oil resources of the D₁l category.
