Abstract

At present, work is underway to commission a specialized synchrotron radiation source—the Zelenograd technological storage ring complex. This paper presents the results of numerical calculations of the power and spectral photon flux densities from various electromagnetic radiation sources of the Zelenograd technological storage ring complex. The spectral photon flux densities of synchrotron radiation emitted into the full vertical angle from the main magnetic field region of the bending magnet of the Zelenograd storage ring were calculated. The corresponding synchrotron radiation spectra from an additional section of the bending magnet with a magnetic field four times weaker than the main field were also calculated. The calculations were performed for electron beam energies of 1.2, 1.6, and 2.2 GeV. Spatial distributions of synchrotron radiation photons with photon energies equal to the critical energy of synchrotron radiation were determined. In addition, the spectral photon flux densities of electromagnetic radiation from a multipole wiggler (snake), as well as the vertical spatial distributions of this radiation, were calculated. Dedicated computer programs were developed for these calculations. The results obtained for the intensities of synchrotron radiation generated in the Zelenograd technological storage ring complex and the radiation from the wiggler indicate that the radiation produced by the Zelenograd technological storage ring complex can be effectively used for scientific research and various technological processes.
