Stretchable Pixel-Array Light-Emitting Diode Based on Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes for Flexible Electronics

Abstract
We present a technology to fabricate a stretchable electrode based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and single-walled carbon nanotubes. The electrodes are created using optical lithography on nanotubes with a sacrificial layer. The pattern is formed by dry plasma etching. To develop a stretchable device, an array of InGaN/GaN nanowire microcrystals is encapsulated in PDMS using gravitational spinning and separated from the growth substrate. The device is tested under tensile strain, and its current–voltage characteristics are measured. Additionally, the device’s stability under cyclic loading is investigated.
