Complete Mitochondrial Genome of Turdus mandarinus (Passeriformes: Turdidae)
摘要
Turdus mandarinus is a medium passerine bird with wide distribution in Asia, Africa and Europe. The complete mitogenome of this species was sequenced using an IlluminaNovaseq platform. It is 16,727 bp in length and consists of 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes (12S rRNA and 16S rRNA) and a control region (CR). The overall nucleotide composition of the mitogenome is A (29.35%), T (23.35%), G (14.83%), and C (32.47%). We reconstructed a phylogenetic tree based on the mitogenome sequences of 16 species from family Turdidae, as well as one outgroup. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that T. mandarinus is well clustered with T. merula. The new mitogenome data would provide useful information for evolutionary research on T. mandarinus and the family Turdidae.
