Consequences from the Use of Disinfectants: Physiological Effects on Plants

This review presents a comparative analysis of the literature data on the main physiological effects of disinfectants active substances on plants. The active substances of disinfectants can affect a lot of processes in the plant organism, including growth rate, pro-/antioxidant balance and activity of the photosynthetic apparatus. The review discusses positive and negative effects of disinfectants on plants, as well as their possible mechanisms.
