Abstract <p>The United States’ international economic assistance during the presidency of Joe Biden and its evolution following the transition to the new administration are analyzed. The foundations to evaluate prospective directions of international economic assistance, including the characteristics and indicators of the budgetary process and strategic planning documents, are addressed. Attention is drawn to the system of interaction that has developed in the United States among various actors and interests in the field of international assistance, organized according to the “quadruple helix” model: government institutions, business entities, the expert and scientific community, and civil society. The radical changes to international aid institutions initiated by the Donald Trump administration are examined.</p>
