Abstract <p>For a long time, the general Soviet public had access to only two books, published ten years apart but with the same title, <i>The Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia</i>. Things livened up only with the beginning of perestroika. Books by L.Ya. Gibianskii, V.D. Kuznechevskii, V.M. Kamenetskii were published almost simultaneously. Particularly noteworthy is the book <i>Stalin and Tito</i> by Yu.S. Girenko, who directly wrote about the conflict between the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia in 1948. True, the explanation of this conflict was given from the previous positions. A modern view of the conflict, free from ideological blinkers, was given in the early 2000s in the monograph by A.S. Anikeev <i>How Stalin Left Tito</i>. Overcoming the conflict is discussed in the monograph by A.B. Edemskii, <i>From Conflict to Normalization: Soviet–Yugoslav Relations in 1953–1956</i>. Finally, the collective work <i>An Outline of the Political History of Yugoslavia in the 20th Century</i> became a major event.</p>

Abstract
