Numerical study of disturbance development and transition to turbulence in a supersonic jet
摘要
Based on a numerical solution of the Navier–Stokes equations, simulations of the development of disturbances and transition to turbulence in an isobaric jet exhausting from a round nozzle have been carried out. The eddy-resolving simulations have been carried out in a three-dimensional setup. Simulation results are compared with available experimental data.
