Abstract <p>The formation of the Neoproterozoic complexes of the Precambrian terranes of Southwestern Kazakhstan, the Northern and Middle Tien Shan, occurred in the lateral series of structures of the active continental margin. In the interval of ~850–760 Ma, volcanic, intrusive and terrigenous-carbonate complexes were formed in a suprasubduction setting, in the rear, frontal and fore-arc areas of the active margin. In the interval of ~760 to 715 Ma, a change from a convergent to a transform evolution mode of the active margin led to the formation of riftogenic magmatic complexes.</p>
