Abstract <p>A diagram is proposed for discriminating between at least some A-type intraplate and postcollisional granitoids. The diagram is based on data of the discriminant analysis of geochemically similar Phanerozoic A-type granitoids and is demonstrated to be able to identify the types not only of Phanerozoic but also of Precambrian A-type granitoids.</p>
