Abstract <p>The second part of a comprehensive study of speech patterns in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) is presented in this article. Indicators of expressive speech were assessed at the level of phonology, vocabulary, morphosyntaxis, and discourse in primary schoolchildren with ASDs. The association of autistic manifestations severity and non-verbal intelligence with the level of expressive speech was shown. A comparison of the structure of the identified connections in subgroups of children with different levels of functioning revealed that ASD children with a greater severity of autistic manifestations and lower indicators of non-verbal intelligence are characterized by a decrease in the level of speech generation. Differences in electroencephalagram (EEG) spectral characteristics between ASD subgroups with different levels of functioning were revealed: in subgroup with less pronounced disorders higher level of speech generation correlates with a lower index of β<sub>2</sub>-activity, in a group with more pronounced, with a lower index of slow-wave activity.</p>
