Abstract

Digitization and IoT technologies present new challenges for managing electric metering systems. Integrating institutional energy billing systems with AMI systems of government organizations is crucial. Blockchain is proposed to ensure data integrity by taking automated energy readings. This study proposes a new model to improve public lighting in Mexico using AMI and IoT, with LZ4 and IPFS data compression, to optimize the management of large amounts of data. The results improve data efficiency and security, reducing costs and improving energy resource management.
