Abstract <p>The Archive of Glacier Images of Russia has been created, comprising documents dating from the mid-19th century to the present day. Time series of glacier images from Russia’s main glaciated regions are now publicly available. Analysis of the obtained data confirms a consistent trend of glacier front retreat. The exceptions are dynamically unstable glaciers and glaciers in the volcanic regions of Kamchatka.</p>
