摘要

Abstract

The concentrations of potentially toxic elements in the surface waters of the Elbrus volcanic center were studied; possible sources of their entry were determined, and a preliminary assessment of the impact on the health of the population and tourists was made. The data of 10-year monitoring of the concentrations of potentially toxic elements (Ag, Al, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Li, Mo, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sr, and Zn) are presented. The concentrations of Li and Sr were determined by capillary iontophoresis. The concentrations of other elements were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. As a result of the studies, possible sources of element entry into the surface waters of the studied region were identified. The identified high (Al, As) and very high (Li) concentrations of some toxic elements do not pose a threat to tourists staying in this area for a short time, but may pose a threat to population health.
