Large Periglacial Lakes on the Spitsbergen (Svalbard): State in 2008–2012 and Dynamics in 1991–2022
摘要
Abstract
As of 2008–2012, there were 35 periglacial lakes larger than 1 km2 on Svalbard. They accounted for about 1% of the total number of lakes in the archipelago, and their total area was equal to a third of the area of the lake fund of the archipelago. In recent decades, large lakes in the west of the archipelago have significantly increased in area. The dynamics of large lakes in the archipelago from 1991 to 2022 are considered.
