Comprehensive Assessment of the Ecological Conditions of the Salgir River in the City of Simferopol

Monitoring observation data on water quality of the Salgir River in the territory of Simferopol City and Ukromnoe Village over 2017 and 2020 are analyzed. The ecological state of the watercourse is found to deteriorate under the effect of the urban environment both in a low-water year and in a year with water abundance close to average. Segments of the Salgir R. channel are identified where an abrupt deterioration of water quality have been recorded. A list of measures aimed at a decrease in the adverse effect of Simferopol City on the environmental conditions of the examined watercourse is substantiated.
