Selection of Modes of Cultivation of Methane-Oxidizing Bacteria in a Bioreactor with a Modified Ejector
摘要
Abstract
For a specially designed bioreactor intended for the cultivation of methanotrophic bacteria, a structural modification of its main working element: the ejector used to additionally supply the culture with gas-feed components (oxygen and methane), is proposed. Tests were carried out to determine the main operating modes that yield maximum process productivity. The paper presents a comparative characterization of process parameters (pressure and composition of the oxygen-containing gas) in the bioreactor when using the ejector in two different design variants. During the tests, the growth-limiting factor of carbon dioxide concentration was taken into account, and methods to improve the efficiency of the fermentation process were employed.
