摘要

When treating a water flow with an electric discharge generated in a cavitation field, a prolonged effect on the organic compounds dissolved in the water is revealed. The given effect is caused by the active oxygen forms appearing in the technological process and the decomposition of a water molecule as a result of chemical reactions. The performed studies show that major changes in the properties of the treated water are related to an essential decrease in the redox potential up to negative values, as indirectly confirmed by the formation of uniformly distributed active oxygen forms retained in the volume. The revealed effect can be widely used in the processes of producing plasma-treated water for industrial and household application.
