Quantitative Assessment of Internal Energy Saving during Rectification
摘要
Abstract
The essence of the theory of internal energy saving that takes the multiple condensation of vapor on the plates of a rectifying column into account is considered. A quantitative assessment of the internal energy saving is given and the derivation of a formula for calculating the internal energy saving is presented for various aggregate states of the initial mixture. It has been proved that supplying a “cold” initial mixture has great benefits from the viewpoint of the energy consumption. Conditions have been found under which it is expedient to condense the initial vapor–liquid mixture before feeding it into the column.
