<p>An increase in the corrosion resistance of magnesium and its alloys is achieved by forming hybrid smart coatings. The introduction of a corrosion inhibitor makes it possible to control the degradation rate of the material due to the self-healing effect of the coating. Additional polymer treatment significantly increases the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the material. The inhibitor efficiency and the mechanism of anti-corrosion protection of the alloy are established.</p>
