Self-Healing Coatings Containing Layered Double Hydroxides Impregnated with a Corrosion Inhibitor for Anti-Corrosion Protection of Magnesium Alloys
摘要
Abstract—
Using the plasma electrolytic oxidation method, a porous ceramic-like matrix is formed on the surface of the MA8 magnesium alloy. The surface of the heterooxide layer is functionalized by forming a film of layered double hydroxides. Several methods for intercalation of the formed nanocontainers with a corrosion inhibitor (benzotriazole) are proposed. The composition, morphology, corrosion behavior, and self-healing mechanism of the formed coating are studied.
