Abstract
By analyzing the electrical properties of polymer dielectrics, their conditional classification by a number of features was developed, known approaches to describing the relationship between the main characteristics of the state of a dielectric at the macro and micro levels were identified, and the main directions for creating plastic materials with specified electrical properties were briefly highlighted.
